Do you know what year this was taken. I am writing a management plan as part of my degree for fairy glen and am struggling to find any info on historic management, so may use this photo. Thanks

Yes the waterfall is still there, I spent most of my childhood playing in the Fairy Glen when it was a lot wilder than it is now! It used to be a very quiet unknown place, unfortunately it's now "on the map!"

It was a bit ‘woodier’ than this when I played around there in the late 1960’s . There was a ‘hidey hole’ behind the fall , supposedly an old priest hole or at least that’s what we were told . Very slippery to get down there but there was a tunnel behind the fall ......but it was a long time ago so don’t blame me if it’s not there now!

It was the playground for most of the kids that lived on the estate off stoneygate Lane in the fifties/ sixties we had some great times down there, unlike today it's become worn-out by hundreds that visit site from all over the Northwest every weekend even in lockdown!!!
