Great to see this picture John - glad you managed it - although it was taken before I was born I spotted Evelyn straight away. Would like a few more names if you know. Look forward to more photos from you.

I think the girl on the 3 wheeler bike, front left is Pam Wilde. Could the little 'blondie' in the middle be you John and Tony Wilde (another blonde)sat on the floor in front of you? Could be wrong but they are very familiar faces.

Yes your dead right Susan. Other people are Pam Wild on the tricycle. Eileen Tattum with the nurses hand on her shoulder. Ronald Lawton in the car. Mrs Cross seated with Valerie and Geoffrey Williams, then me. Tony Wild and our George in the duck. Evelyn Ainscough with Molly on her knee.Right at the front is Barbara Cross and seated at the far right is Mrs Yeates[I think].Can anyone help with any I've missed?

I'm pretty sure that we moved into the house that the Cross family lived in - No. 13,I seem to remember something about we were offered a house in Ashton and Mr & Mrs Cross wanted to live there and did us a swap, I think!

Yes you are right Susan. Also the Williams lived at no.11 and the Yeates lived no.15 before the Mcphersons. Enid Yeates[ who may be the girl in the photo with her head turned] used to take me to Rectory school when I first started at 4.

Don't remember either the Williams' or the Yeates'(only Yeates I know of lived in Palm Ave) when we moved to 13 our neighbours were the McPhersons at 15 and Phoebe & Ted Sutton at No.11 It's a great picture though.

There is a girl near the back ,just left of centre, she has dark hair & a centre parting, Her name was Marie Sumner, she lived in the house next door to Partingtons, they moved away because her dad commited suicide,anyone remember her? she had a brother Tony,
