The reredos behind the altar was the actual War Memorial to those from the Parish who fell in WW1. It was disposed of when the church was demolished in 1978. It is sad that its present whereabouts are unknown.

First time I have seen this picture.
What memories are reawakened.
This looks like the old red carpet rather than the later blue one.
