The coaches had yet to come. One interesting thing about this advert is the mention of Cremations. Wigan Crematorium, on Cemetery Road, Lower Ince, just across the railway from Jackson's garage, did not open until 1955. The nearest Crematoria were at Liverpool and Bolton (which had only just opened in 1951).
