this choir was formed from the various Churches of Christ in the Wigan area, amongst the members are, Bill Comber and his wife, David Humphries, Mrs Howard, Joe and Jennie Bradshaw, Annie and Fred Foster, Mrs Roberts, Lily Barclay,Wallace Green, Stanley Oakden, Perhaps someone knows the others The photo was taken in Rodney St. chapel, now an eating house. How times change!!

My word this takes me back. I was an active member of the Church of Christ Corsey Rd Hindley in the 1950s (not so much after then) and recognise Bill Comber from there (back row, third from right) I should recognise Wallace Green and Stanley Oakden but I'm sorry to say I don't. I'd expect Arthur Worthington to be there too, but I don't see anyone I recognise as him (That's maybe my memory) Thanks for thsi.

No, you're right, Len, Arthur Worthington is not on this photo! Nor can I see Stanley Oakden. I do see Margaret Banks, Irene Birchall & Elsie Armstrong on the front row, with Edith Roberts. I think the photo is earlier than 1968, as I'm sure David Humphries had died by then. I was a member of Rodney St Church of Christ in the 50's and early 60's - and the son of Arthur Worthington!
