I think the fully-built Magistrates Court is an impressive building - it's such a shame the police station has been moved and the purpose-built connecting tunnel destroyed - both are an eyesore just now.

Wigan ??? Could be Newtown, Anywhere, UK.
Such a shame heritage is lost in the name of progress & shame on those who instigated the destruction of a fine town.

My fathers company had a hand in the courts construction,they made the concrete window lintels that you can see on the inside ,in the little interview rooms.
