Hi Stephen.
I was born on Goose Green in the 30s and lived on the Green till the 60s, Something's not right with this photo if you're saying that this is the Crown pub on the corner with the door that would be Bentinck st,if it's on the opposite corner out of sight where the gas lamp is, the one with the door would be Baxsters shop then the opposite corner would have been the off license Slaters then becoming Braddocks,
and where is the Cobbled streets,if ive got it wrong this photo is before my time,I would be very interested for a reply.
hi stephen looked at this pic a number of times i was born late 30s in bentinck st live in bentinck st till i married and i don`t remember a sefton rd but like all pic`s u got on
Hi all, Im researching the crown inn goose green. My great uncle was landlord in 1919. Don't know if anyone knew him. Their surname was Blakeway. I don't know too much at this stage. Any feedback would be most welcomed.
Thanks
Hi Stephen I used to live next door to your Grandad Jack in Kingsley Avenue in 1950/60s, I was born in Brackley St Goose Green early 1950s, I believe this photo was taken in Northumberland Street, this street ran parallel with Brackley Street, had some great times and happy memories growing up on the Green!
