My grandmother lived at the Hermitage at Standish around 1920 she was housekeeper for the preist and brought up her family there. When I came over last year on holiday from OZ I went up to Standish to find it. It is now in ruins amongst trees.I would not have found it only for an elderly gentleman walking his dog.

can someone help me with this photo please....
my sisters late husband used to live in the Hermitage(Kenneth Williams) around the late 30's early 40's. After seeing this photo she thinks that the male on the left could be him because of the hair style and the way he is standing. If anybody knows who this family is or the male on the left in the photo, can they please leave a comment or any information....
thankyou
Kath

The house, or rather the remains of it are situated in the wood at the crossroads of the footpaths that lead from Standish to shevington before you get to the hermitage pond
