A dsigrace that such magnificent buildings were destroyed. Just think of how many, cheap apartments , for single people, that would have accomadated/ Much better built than the houses they are building to day .
Indeed a sad photo Ron.There are a few places I have never re-visited because I prefer to remember them as they were.
my mates dad has a wall built out off the white may mill bricks , still remember the mill well as my mums house backed on to it in woodbrook drive. still remember the siren people used to set off , sounded like an air raid siren. massive building .
it was a great place to play(though not very safe) i have some photos of the chimney comeing down ....SOMEWHERE.. i'll dig 'em out and stick 'em up
