Hiya Mark, When I was a little girl I am sure this shop was owned by Mr & Mrs Topping, Keelings Chip Shop used to be on the right hand side,We used to borrow forms from there when we had a birthday party. I remember Alan Billington,he was friendly with Les Halliday and used to be our post-man.
Cheers Olwyn.
Hiya mark ,Olwyn.
I remember the chippy when Wilsons owned it before Keelings.I used to go there for "scratchings" for my Grandads hens.He had a pen where Abram Labour Club is now.
Toppings who had the shop used to own our house in Warrington Road.
another cracker Mark ,i used to collect our bread from Toppings and bite all the corners off before i got home, which was a matter of 100 yards.Malcom Keeling lived in the chippy, and was a mate of mine ,his clothes always smelt of chip fat
hiya mark i work at topshop now and its totally differant now. nice to see what it used to look like
