My Nan lived on Neville Street and I remember that chippy very well. We always used to take warm plates with us
In the late 50's, it was run by Edna Tasker and family, excellent quality.
My owd fella was born opp at 5 whistley st (later moved to 75 nev st).I remember going in with my owd grandma ican see her now a light blue mac on; head scarf; with a yellow plate in hand . The wife was also brought up opposite she remembers going for pey wet n scatchings wi a wooden fork.

My uncle and aunt, Fred and Maud Mangnall took over the shop for a time in the 1930s. Fred was Ernest's brother. Maud (nee Pilkington) was my dad's sister. June, I think we met a couple of times when you were very young.
