Taken in 1962 from near Hindley North Station. In the foreground is the Wigan Road area. In the middle distance left is St Nathaniel's Church, in the cenrte is the CWS Glass Bottleworks at Platt Bridge & behind the Three Sisters(?) slagheaps, also the many other spoilheaps existing at that time
