you don,t miss much do you tom!.another really good photo,b+w is right for this shot.
My aunty and her family lived in the house that was at the end by where the crash happened. I went to the Chapel that is shown, learnt to play the organ there.
DO YOU MEAN THE UNSWORTHS WHO LIVED IN THE HOUSE ON THE CORNER BEFORE TH COBBLERS
The houses that you can see the upstairs windows of, over the top of the truck are where my Great Grandma and Grandad lived until 1968 when he died. It was the 4th house up from the corner
Thank you for putting these phootos on the site. If you happen to have any that show Gore's shop (631&633 Liverpool Road, on the corner of Green Street) and only just visible, top right, on this photograph, I'd be extremely grateful if you could let me know. Thanks again. (Delete 'nospam' from my address if replying.)
I remember Gore's shop. My brother dennis was friends with Peter Gore and his sister Mary. I played various board games there at the back of the shop, when Peter and Dennis let me. Sorry no photos though.
Atkinson truck, the cab was only made from wood and glass-fibre.
