Some bit of information to go with the recent maps showing the grave yard.

Ron, this report could be referring to King Street East or railway construction damage.
According to the Lancashire Online Parish Project there were 56182 burials in All Saints grave yard between 1721 and 1904 and a high percentage were babies and young children.
