The window being assembled in the maker's factory in St Helens. The similarity to Theodore Major's style in the 1930 Town Guide can be seen - the bringing together of the landmark features of the community in a single image.

It looks lovely as a stained glass window.
My maternal grandparents were married at this Church in 1921…

That name is familiar. I'm sure Mr Rickard was an art teacher at Upholland Grammar School in the 70s and very well liked he was too.

Indeed he was, Andrew. Veronica - the church the window was made for is shown in the centre of the window - it was originally the Infants' School. The church your grandparents were married in was demolished in the 1970s, and the congregation moved over to the old school building. The old church appears in outline in the top segment of the window - with no glass in the lead.

Thanks Rev. David for the info. I didn’t realise the church was demolished in the 70’s . I saw the church before that time but had never been inside sadly.
