Can anyone remember this building?

Some of these clippings could be describing a town like Chester. What a complete waste of something we'll never get back. You only get one chance with historic buildings.

I expect these were demolished as part of the national slum clearances which blanketed everything. I'm still unsure why many of these empty spaces we're never built upon or replaced on the same footprint. Many we're replaced with industry completely in the wrong places like Miry Lane.

Wigan certainly had a unique array of quaint and quirky buildings and similarly Wynds, Alleys, Squares and Yards, and as you stated Andrew - "we'll never get (them) back."

Never seen this before. What an odd thing.
