A heavy overnight snowfall and this McAlpine Austin van based on the M6 construction nearby ended up in the trees due to a skid. I shan't name the driver, but as I was based at the Kitt Green site office, often went out with him as I learnt my civil engineering trade. The roads were very slippery that morning as I found out riding from Standish to the site on my little Francis Barnett 98cc bike.
