From my wifes great aunt Clara Webster nee Jackson who with husband Jack had the Black Horse, now the Lychgate, pub at Standish. The also had the Hinds Head at some time.

It does indeed Veronica.

It looks cold with the haw frost on the bushes & looking at the woman on the right in closeup, she seems to be wearing a piece of sacking as a shawl. I wonder who said , Come out in the snow & have your picture taken ? Its just fascinating to look at.

Do we live like mist we see,
or ice made droplets from each tree,
wrapped in shawls to protect from cold,
moments captured that then seem old,
faces looking that now seem far,
put to memory of who they are,
moments, seconds , a haunting mist,
like ice we melt , from a closeness kissed...
