Spring in the Plantations 1990s.
Without bikes - they must have hidden them behind a bush..
Lovely calm and peaceful photo..
You have a fine catalogue DTease. Someone once stressed the importance of shadows in picture-making by saying that sunlight isn't the only cause of shadows being cast, and that during a sunless day there'll still be shadows worth looking for - no doubt your aware of this fact. I like the 'mauvy' shadows, shown here - A nice photo throughout, in fact.
Let us keep our heads, down low,
For here my lady comes,
And then she'll see just passers-by,
With clinging woodland fronds.
Oh Howard mine, of bouncy dare,
We'll pass her by the glade,
Where then we'll see such open skies,
And dance in garlands made.
I just love it..a beautiful photo..
I know it isn't March yet..but thought this sounded apt.
Springtime is the land awakening.
The March winds are the morning yawn.
The ladies skirt is not short enough for it to be Marina Veronica, it must be Pearl !!
I just love that walk of Marina's..when my cat is walking up the garden path I can see Marina's walk..honest.
OOOOOOHHHH, HOWARD!! Jean Fergusson was brilliant as Marina. I was gutted when she died a few weeks ago. Lovely photo of the plantations. Soon be Spring. xx
Spring is in the air, risks taken on a wing and a prayer,
Mad lovers take cover.
Who knows who's around the next bend,
She's sure to descend -
On her dithering hubby and his hard faced hussy,
But Marina's not daft,on her feet tied fast, JACKBOOTS!
Pearl takes one look and off she scoots,
Leaving the lovers to canoodle once more,
Before jumping the Yellowbrook, missing, covered in slutch
And rolling on't floor....
Oooh! Howard! This is nice, it's different,
Ooooh! Marina yer the love of mi life.........
Could it be Mick and one of his WW ladyfriends?
A free Yellowbrook mud pack for Marina was it then, Veronica - nicely.
More like acting out Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in from "Here to Eternity' Philip ! ;o))....oooer! I watch too many old b/w films... Well they are the best...
Just come back to this photo which is lovely… I had forgotten the rhyme I posted…. Goodness me I can’t believe I did that… but I must have… 2 years since! .
