Nice try, but I can't see him boiling a kettle with that little windmill.

Near Shedfield Bridge.

Nice pic, DTease, yet I'm left with the feeling that this twin set of sailing craft could first have been conceived on the drawing board of the great Leonardo', as he's reputed to have designed a giant claw capable of lifting opposing craft from the surface of the sea.
The overall scene reminds me of the two weeks we'd spent camping in the New Forest in 1975, and of the gas ring made for us by our recently departed fellow camper Ste' - I've no idea where the small bottle of propane had come from, though.
National Motor Museum, Stonehenge, River Avon, … and then our final sup in George's pub at Shrewsbury.
No chance, now, of us all getting back together for another bash.

Shedfield bridge is the one between New Springs bridge and the bridge that carries the main drive to Haigh Hall over the canal.

Philip, some years ago when my then young niece was still at school she went away for a weeks camping in the Lake District. When she got back I asked her what she thought of it and she summed it up as a week of “soggy tent, soggy sleeping bag and soggy knickers”. I don’t think she as ever been camping since.

Shame about your young niece's soggy fabrics, DTease, but she had displayed a comforting, dry sense of humour on her return, and let's hope she'd bagged some Kendal Mint Cake to lift her spirits while she was up there.
