It reminds me of a gingerbread cottage... Whoever owned it must have been quite well off. The little lad peeping out of the 'shed' looks shy. I wonder if the 'Jubilee' refers to George 5th's in 1936 as the cottage looks too modern for Victoria's Jubilee in the late 1890's.

Hi RON HUNT,
That photo was taken in Hindley Northumberland. Through a bit of detective work by myself and a couple more of the members of Memories of Hindley facebook group, we have tracked it down. The cottage is still there but has been extended a bit.
