Beautiful picture. Cold John is living in Canada as my friends son is and, at the moment, it's minus 24. Brr.
Yes, it's at Poolstock - opposite St James' church.

This is the Leigh branch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal not far from the junction where the former Westwood power station used to be. On reaching Leigh the canal becomes the Bridgewater Canal, I never know why it wasn't the Bridgewater Canal all the way to Wigan.
