St Mary's Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in the Standishgate area of Wigan, Greater Manchester. It was built in 1818 and is a Grade II* listed building. It is in the Wigan deanery of the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

Remember the time when Father Gore was the parish priest, and father O’Donahue was the curate,, fifties, and sixties.

I was a alter boy here in the early 50,s Father Gore parish priest and fathers Conofrey and Furlong were there. I lived in Dicconson Terrace over the Road.

A beautiful church, apparently it was the 'mother' church for St Patrick's chapel before the present church was built.
