You wouldn't want to walk down there without a big dog! Reminds me of the fogs in the fifties.

There were in November. Into December, in the late forties, fifties, and into the sixties, certainly a lot of poisonous pea soupers. The funeral of my father, in 1967, was delayed for a couple of days, and I had to request further compassionate leave, as I could not get back to Kent, due to the delayed funeral, plus the atrocious weather conditions.

Once again we have the bridge twosome that must be going on for a hundred years. Can anyone track the building date??

Ken R - the 1849 OS Map shows bridges at these locations, and also the boathouse basin.
Whether they are the same bridges that appear in this splendidly atmospheric photo, remains to be seen.
