No greater love hath any man than this, that he should don his warmest coat and allow himself to be dragged around Haigh Hall by his wife, child and family dog on a bitterly cold afternoon in January when he would much rather be in his nice warm home watching the football on the Telly.

When it's bitterly cold with frost and snow on the ground - for some reason I always feel the urge to go for a walk in the daytime. It's a lovely feeling to have cheeks and nose tingling. It's nice to come home to a lovely warm house though. That is a beautiful scene when you consider its practically on the doorstep.

haigh hall is a very beautiful place,the golf course on a late summer evening is and i have played a great many courses,in a fabulous setting,pity about its upkeep.but still tranquil and relaxing.

I have an old friend who thinks the couple is her and her hubby and son, and the family dog! I am now convinced it is. What a lovely surprise for her!

Yes Veronica,this is me with my hubby, son and our Labrador,Sam.It would be about 1994/5.Thank you D Tease for putting it on here.This was a walk closer to home.We normally went to the top of the pike at Rivington.Yes even in the snow!!
