The Ainscough’s started as grocers in Parbold and then took over the village windmill. They were successful and later built two steam flour mills, one in Parbold and the other in Burscough.

I reckon that a few swings on that starting handle on a cold winter morning would soon get your engine ticking over......as well as the Lorry’s!
