This is a picture of the world in perfect harmony.
The woman is doing all the work.
The man is by her side telling her how to go about it.
And the dog is flat out on the grass enjoying the sunshine.
Everything is has it should be, God is in his heaven, all is peace and contentment and all is simply perfect.

I think DTease just wants a reaction. I wouldn't say the dog was Flat out on the grass and the woman doing all the work and the man telling her how to do it. I don't see that at all. This is a seen you'll see all the time.

It looks like Dtease has achieved his mission from you Alan. Doggy isn't turning cartwheels - hubby is scratching his tum and the missis is showing how it's done (as usual)! And all is well with the world for the time being....my queswtion is where is Ron?

QUESTION.

"this is a 'seen' you will see all the time" .....?

Actually what's happening is this - the Master is steering the boat out of the lock above. The Crew (the lady) is filling the next lock. The Interfering Wigan Busybody, who was walking his dog, thinks he knows better than the Crew how to work a lock, and is giving unwanted advice. She is muttering something unprintable. The dog is covering its ears.

Rev Long, my sympathy goes to the dog.

Comment by: Veronica on 14th April 2019 at 00:34

My sympathies definitely lie with the poor hardworking woman..give the dog a bone!

Veronica, I think it is a noble gesture by the gentleman to give up his manly duty in order to provide the lady with a little strenuous exercise, obviously, he is showing some concern for her health and well-being.

I'd been thinking on the same lines DTease:
"Hey-up, let me do it".
"Awreet, go on, then, . . . but mind thi fingers."

Nothing new there Dtease, if you want something doing - do it yourself is what I find! ;o)

The bloke is saying to the women put your back into it. its going tobe dark soon.

Comment by: Dostaf on 14th April 2019 at 19:28

Gibo - The phrase 'put your back into it' supposedly originates from pushing lock gates with your bum. As opposed to pushing with your hands.
