Well, not much to rescue by the time they arrived. It was during the 2002-3 firefighters' strike - so the forces were called in with their Bedford appliances.

When I was in the AFS I used to go out to fires in one of those

Reverend, and Mick. Just drifting off from the item depicted. When analysing the Wigan Chief Constable’s reports. Did it provide any information as to the police strength of the force, on its amalgamation. I did estimate it at one hundred and fifty, from the Chief, downwards, in the mid 1960s
