Rev,Donkey Lane ,across from Cemetary cut through to Trenchie.Little River on left.
I used to go bottle digging down here back in the day.
Jinksy. Is that large expanse of bracken still growing on the far side of the little river, and is the turn style gate, leading over the railway lines, that came from the wagon works, still there?.
Albert S, remember the gate & Lines from Branch. Not sure if they are still there.Next time I pass will have a waik down & let you know.
Did you find anything Bottle Collector? . . . Ginger beers, Ink bottles, Pot lids . . . . I believe there'd been a large cinder? tip in the Miry Lane area some years ago. I also remember a chap from Wigan having a miniature Ginger beer? valued on a TV collectors show once. He'd found it on a building site during the course of his work, and after being told by the expert what its value was, replied, "Is thar aw?".
That was my grandad's garage. He used to live in the end terraced house (out of shot). He also had an allotment behind the garage which he called his "pen".

The Silcocks moved in later. I used to play with their daughter Catherine went I went to my grandma & grandads.
