This peaceful photo has calmed me, I was so cross about Micks PAD....
Oh for a day, just messing about on the river !

Senecar instead of Sennicar? Kittiwake instead of Kittywake? I would like to blame the spellchecker......but I can’t, so I’ll stand in the corner wearing my vintage Dunce Cap that I keep for such occasions and flay my bare back with a wet, knotted bo’sun’s rope until I have learned how to spell correctly.

Looks like it's at the side of the limey, near to old Walmsley's

DTease, just to put you at ease. Kittiwake is the correct spelling. Whoever painted the name on the boat got the spelling wrong.

Thanks for that John D, that's all the excuse I need to put the rope away.

Is the area where the two Swans are known as a Winding Hole? An area where boats can turn arround? There is one just before the area where Ainscoughs Mill was in Parbold.

I thought the boat was named after a lady named Kitty, who was a mayoress of Wigan.
