What an existence to live here? World, what world?
Again Dtease, Top draw!
A perfect Summer's day, so serene -I can almost hear the humming of the bumble bees, then there's the blasted midges at tea time, biting bare legs and arms.......oh!...the joys of Summer in such lovely surroundings and on the doorstep.
Lovely memories of days like this around Senecar Lane. xx
I always thought it was spelled as Sennicar Lane, could be wrong - great photo.
You are correct Cyril, the correct spelling is Sennicar. It is a contraction of the words "seven acre".
You learn something on this site - even if it's how the 'owd codgers' pronounced ' Senecar Lane'. It's quite obvious really.
Stranger in town asking for directions.....
'Aye its s'nacres tha'wants - jus' deawn theer to thi' right' !
It's not often you hear the old dialect these days.....I miss hearing it!
