Wonderful photo !!
We watch them all over again, all these years later on TV, busy doing nothing !
Idyllic. Who would want to be anywhere else or do anything different than idle about talking rubbish all day?. Sheer bliss.
I wouldn't be surprised if my dad wasn't amongst them- everyday, him and his pals would go for walks - ending up at Haigh Hall- and a stray dog used to go with them!
Permission to come aboard, DTease? . . . Thanks.
Sh! Quiet, lads,
And sense their meeting lips,
Then very soon their melting words
Behind those hawthorn hips.
Oh, Marina
- now rolled behind the rose -
Let me stroke a clover-bob
Along your lovely nose.
Oh, Howard,
Such joy when trefoil-calm,
With outstretched arms I sail away,
And have my pre-packed barm.
Poet, have you ever thought of standing for Parliament? You could talk rubbish all day there AND get paid for doing it.
I'm not a proud chap DTease but I do consider certain professions beneath me.
Brilliant caption to a beautiful photo. I LOVE Summer Wine, especially Howard and Marina.
Your contributions to the morale of the crew make you welcome aboard at any time Philip.
Ahoy! . . . Thanks, Matey.
