Another great reminder Allan.
I can't help feeling that the signature ('with fine flourish') at the bottom of the card had been the first one given.
I'm also reminded of how Corporal Jones's had entertained the troops, wives, and girlfriends in the Dad's Army episode 'War Dance'; he'd played several of the roles shown on your menu card.

I like the term 'humorist' for the 'comic turn' and 'character study' for the 'mimic'. I wonder if they went down well with the audience! Probably did - due to relief at the end of hostilities.
