brilliant photos Andrew - thank you - this one brings back particular memories - the iron bridge & Rockies in the background - to your left would have been the Grey Hills - on the right I seem to recollect there were various brick tunnels there in which we dared to venture - happy days

There were tunnels near 'Sandy Bottoms'. I can remember aged about 9,climbing down a hole on an iron ladder with some playmates and coming up another hole a bit of a distance away. It was pitch black and we did it for a 'dare'. I shudder now when I think about it. I have no idea what the tunnels were used for. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. I dread to think what could have happened to us.
