Andrew, congratulations on taking these photographs of what, at the time were run down areas of Wigan. Without the foresight of people like you these scenes would have been lost to the past.
Quite right DTease. And I wouldn't be surprised if those presented here are just a small part of 'his large collection of worthwhile photos.'
I also like looking at 18th and 19th English watercolour paintings, and I must admit that Andrew's 'Canal At Wigan Pier' also reminds me of Peter De Wint's 'Bridge over the Witham.'
Sorry Philip, that's all there are of Wigan. (Thousands more from all over the world, but...)
