Oh, how I would love to walk in there!
Thirsty irene!
It all looks spotless and well kept....no cobwebs in there!
Such memories...Always remember when Ronald Riley found 'the blue chip' in his Smith's salted crisps packet. He won a box of twenty bags of Smith's plain crisps. The winning 'blue chip' token was in the little blue salt bag. Twenty bags of crisps in 1965 was a big deal for a ten year old...I think Gerry was serving on the day he won it. Nice fella Gerry was. It was a great outdoor. Thanks for the picture, John.
Great photos John, could just go a No6 all to myself ... no savers or stumps ha ha!
Jarvo, I was also a winner of the twenty packets of crisps! They were in a blue tin with a Union Jack on the sides....what a co-incidence!
ps Jarvo....it was 1963 or 1964 when I won the crisps, and it wasn't a blue chip, it was a little yellow paper ticket inside the screw of salt, and I have an idea the crisps may have been Benson's, not Smiths, but I remember them being in a tin, not a box. I remember taking some packets to school for my friends.
Spot on, Irene. Yes, I meant a little piece of paper 'the blue chip' in a salt screw. Benson's in a tin...Ha, ha...Your memory is sharper than mine. Take care. x
