Herbert was a Railway Parcels Porter. Elsie - Unpaid Domestic Duties. Living at 34 Cinnamon Avenue , Hindley U.D., Lancashire

Lovely photo thanks for sharing :-) As Cinnamon Ave always been council houses ? just curious as the house in the back ground looks like a row of terraced houses ?

Built around 1920, they started life as council houses, no doubt by now, many will be owner occupied.

Thanks Rodger i thought the houses that stand on Cinnamon Ave was only built in the 50's but am obviously wrong hehe

Some of the houses on Atherton Road are of a similar style to Cinnamon Avenue. N° 511 has a foundation stone built in.
