When I was researching the college history 42 years ago I came across a picture of the Old Tin Tabernacle stored within what in those days constituted the college archives. This was the home of the Technical College at the lower end of Library Street between 1883 and 1903. I think the building behind the Old Tin Tabernacle would be the Town Baths on Mill Gate.

I remember the old Holy Family Church Platt Bridge being referred to as The Tin Tabernacle.
