My dad. James (Jim Callaghan) would probably have took those mailbag onto the platform then 'chucked' them onto the train. This side up, handle with care didn't exist then. He loved his job right to the end. RIP Dad x

My dad Martin Kenny was Station Foreman here until he retired in the early ‘80s,this takes me back .
