Due to the imminent closure of this long established furniture shop in Pemberton, I called in to see if they had any old photographs of the shop. The owner Tim Abbott, kindly allowed me to photograph this old drawing of the shop front, as it was in August 1927. exactly 90 years ago. The shop was then owned by the Rylance family.

Drawn by W. Thornley, is this the W Thornley of JB & W Thornley who designed the Carnegie Library in Pemberton?
