It looks a lot tidier there than it is now. The field on the right of the photo is completely overgrown with bushes and trees

Is the 'field' not part of Blundells Wood? If so then it's no surprise it's full of trees. My house on Foundry Lane backs onto Blundells Wood and we can walk through to Pony Dick.

freds right the front of the houses on the right are covered by trees and bushes opposite are the new houses!
