Bob Sankey poses for the photographer on his Triumph combination. Taken on Danny Towey's pen in the Skitters in the spring of 1965. The chimney visible in the distance, would I suspect, have been the one belonging to Record mill in York road, and I'm reasonably confident that the houses are in Old road. RBG archive.

A workmate of mine, at the Maypole Colliery, gave me a lift home, in his sidecar, especially after the night shift, from Abram, to Lower Ince, 1952, early 53. It was a most uncomfortable ride, but very convenient, and appreciated.
