Another goodun' Ozy. And that ballpoint hammer tells me Danny was a master craftsman like myself. My motto is "If the hammer doesn't fix it 1st time, get a bigger hammer".
My sentiments entirely GW. I also find that a 24" set of Stillsons and a flagger's maul come in quite handy for the more delicate adjustments that are often necessary on a vintage machine. My motto has always been, " if it ain't broke, break it ".
The 'Matchless WD' site concerns the two 350s that were made by ATC for use during the last conflict. Young Danny looks up to the task that lies before him.
Surely that should be a ball pein hammer you master craftsmen? Or could you also write with it?
Great photo. I bet that motorcycle would fetch a few bob or two today.
Great days,I lived in Bryn then and had a BSA B33,I took it on the M6 as soon as it opened to try it out, just coming up to the services, all kinds of noises started up,the bike slowed and I pulled over just past the services,I found the exhaust push rod had come off,I put it back, went home, and found there was a metal cup missing where the spring sat,a trip to Rogersons,a new cup bought and but back, good as new,by the way I still have a 14 and an 18 inch Stillson,I should put them on Ebay.
Ha' your on to me Mick. I can't write with my "ballpoint" hammer but i'v often left my signature!
There is a song called Ball Peen Hammer by Joe Bonamassa.
