Arthur, l must say the cemetery nowadays is beautiful a lot of it done by local volunteers in fact sorry it's not a cemetery it is John's church yard,the pathways have been tidied and repaired grave stones straightened,there is a large stone wall at the bottom boundary these days,and the grass is practically lawned ,a pleasure to visit my past family members.

I visited this cemetery/church yard just a few years ago. Then it seemed respectfully enough, in its appearance. At the time it was the hundredth anniversary of the Maypole Pit disaster. I believe it was held in 2008.
