The fire service deal with a car fire in York road in July 1965. Although it can't be seen in the photo, the vehicle was a Morris Oxford allegedly. Note the bell on the appliance.

Looks like a Karrier not a Commer.Karrier made municipal appliances ie fire engines and refuse collection vehicles.

Sorry Garry you're wrong this is a Commer HY, reg '350 KTF' it was stationed with its sister '347 KTF' at Newton-le-Willows station from 1959-69.
