I am researching my family tree and have found that relatives of my mothers, were landlord of the OLD DOG and YE OF YE OLD DOG INN , PREVIOUSLY GILBERT JOLLEY AND HANNAH his wife had been landlord at THE ROPE AND ANCHOR Scholes st. Another relative NATHANIEL JOLLEY WAS LANDLORD OF RAILWAY INN Smithurst lane . and finally Peter jolley manager of the SHOVEL AND BROOM married Alice Thompson daughter of the landlord of the FOX AND GOOSE Wigan lane,,,,that was 1860 to 1910. THey orriginated from Sarace
