This building is now part of Wigan College but in it's time it has had many uses from its original use as a Warehouse,i.e. Pendlebury's (After the fire) Gas Showrooms, Wigan Council offices.

it's now a 14-19 college no demoltion plans

Didn't the late TV personality Willie Rushtons Grandparents build it.

Maureen - Willie Rushton was a member of that particular Rushton family, but I don't know what his relationship was to the builders of this building.

The founder of the business was Oates Rushton. B 1849 D 1929
The business was voluntarily wound up in 1956.
