Had it reached its centenary, prior to its demolition?. Such vivid memories for so many Wigan people.

I always remembered the date my grandmother was born 1877 same as the market hall.

Should never have been pulled down,lots of memories and happy days. My grandmother would go late in the day for cockles and mussels to the fish monger and get a big pot full for our tea.
