Late 60's early 70's Blackburn Corporation owned the Hall and there were man-management courses there. A friend of mine was the caretaker but in a certain week in May she would not sleep there on her own because of the ghosts. One of them was a little girl in a white dress who used to walk in the yard outside. The story went she was twelve years old and had been killed because of her religion. The Hall itself really was beautiful and you could always tell when the ghosts were active you could smell a certain perfume, roller blinds would go up themselves, things would be moved. When my friend got married the reception was held there, it was a beautiful day.
