My Great grandparents, William & Ellen Greenall, lived there in 1891 and 1911 ... according to census information. They lived in Arbour lane on the 1901.

Correction, that should have been my great great grandparents. Although my gt grandad did live there with them in 1891
Carol. My relatives lived in Mill Dam Cottages. Does the name Ellen Houghton sound familiar as they were believed to be her neighbours

Yes, I remember Miss Houghton. I’ve just added a long comment to an old thread about the cottage in Mill Dam Wood. I’m new to this website and only just learning how to navigate my way round....
